Might I remind you that the cast of Galaxy Angel (a 2001-2004 sci-fi comedy series) did in fact become magical girls in Episode 27 of Galaxy Angel AA? In this episode, the Angel Brigade discovers a mysterious wand that gives them all super powers— which leads to a flowery musical number performed by none other than the voice of Toei Animation, Mitsuko Horie! (Hana no Ko Lun Lun, Himitsu no Akko-chan, Mahou Shoujo Lalabel, Mahou no Mako-chan, Majokko Tickle)
This musical sequence features sight parodies of many magical girl series, from Ojamajo Doremi to Majokko Megu-chan to Minky Momo to Saint Tail— in true Galaxy Angel style, however, it becomes gradually more convoluted, until it starts sneaking in Gundam parodies and such.
